As you’re prospecting via email (one of multiple channels you should use), take the time to send a preview/test and open it on your cell phone.
You’ll notice how much, or how little, of the message shows up unless it’s opened.
That’s why you need to avoid:
-Emails longer than 6-7 sentences (unless it’s a follow-up email)
-Starting emails consistently with “Hi Prospect, Lee with X Company. . . Not saying you can’t occasionally do that, but I see it far too often and it’s more prone to deletion
-Fluffy language with no meaning-get to the point
-Sending the same email over and over (sounds silly, I know, but you’d be surprised)
Think before you send. I’m sure you get overwhelmed with emails. Think about what you can do to make yourself stand out.
